Doctor Strange

Framestore played a crucial role in bringing the mystical world of “Doctor Strange” to life on the big screen. The film, directed by Scott Derrickson, introduced the world to the Sorcerer Supreme and his fight against dark forces.

My responsibilities on “Doctor Strange” included look development for several high resolution digital doubles, including that of the titular character. Additionally, I played a key role in bringing to life the iconic Cloak of Levitation, an intelligent artefact that accompanies Doctor Strange throughout the film’s narrative.

I also worked on the lookdev of the Sanctum Sanctorum, Doctor Strange’s iconic home and the lighting of many shots that involved these digi-double characters and set.

“Doctor Strange” was a critical and commercial success, grossing over $677 million worldwide. The film also garnered Academy Award, Bafta and VES nominations for Visual Effects, solidifying Framestore’s reputation as a leader in the industry.
